Restorative Yoga
The art of relaxation
Restorative Yoga is a meditative practice that helps calm the mind, reset the nervous system, and relax profoundly the body. This style of yoga is based on spontaneity and gentleness. We use props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, bricks, belts, sandbags, eye bag, chair, and sometimes even a wall to induce the body and mind into a state of deep relaxation. The goal is to balance the nervous system in order to allow the body to free itself from deep-rooted stress. This allows our body to rest, rejuvenate, and regain its innate capacity for healing. Practicing Restorative yoga allows us to cultivate “the art of doing nothing.” It is one of the most effective tools for combating fatigue, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. But it is also a deeply transformative path to self-awareness, intuition, and spiritual growth.

Audrey Favreau
I’m a certified Restorative Yoga Teacher, Trainer, and Coach with a deep passion for conscious rest and nervous system regulation.
Originally from France, I now live in the peaceful Monferrato Hills of Italy, where I teach and guide others in the art of slowing down, reconnecting with the body, and restoring balance.
After a high-stress career in banking, I discovered Restorative Yoga in Bali in 2012 — a turning point that transformed both my personal and professional life. Since 2015, I’ve trained over 1,100 students, helping them integrate the power of rest into their teaching and their everyday lives.
I’m also the author of Restorative Yoga: The Art of Relaxation, to be published soon in English by North Atlantic Books (Summer 2026).
The book is already available in French – Le Yoga Restauratif (Éditions Grancher, 2022) and in Italian – Restorative Yoga: ritrova la calma, gestisci ansia, rabbia e depressione (Edizioni Mediterranee, 2021).
Through online courses, I share this practice as a powerful tool for rest, resilience, and reconnection.
Join me on this journey of deep rest and renewal!
